Editor, The Reporter. Responsible for the editorial content and direction of this popular monthly magazine, billed The Spanish Connection for Ex-pats, with a Málaga-to-Gibraltar distribution.

Associate Editor, Absolute Marbella. Staff feature writer for this glossy monthly lifestyle magazine.

Freelance Writer Spain

Features for local magazines including Lookout, The Reporter, Costa del Sol News, Costa Blanca News and the Euro Weekly where Belinda’s weekly humour column, Rebecca Ridgeway: A Woman’s View, developed a cult following. 1992-1998 SUNNY SPAIN, THE EARLY YEARS
Following an interview (see below) for the Daily Express with Ken Brown – then editor of Spain’s much-loved glossy expat magazine, Lookout – Belinda relocated to the Costa Blanca, combining freelance writing with running a restaurant. 1983-1990 Globe-Trotting Travel Writer

Assistant Editor of Travel Weekly, the British trade newspaper, writing and commissioning features on the travel industry from five continents.

1981-1983 Marketing Maven

Marketing Manager for the Sussex-based Panorama travel agency/tour operator, responsible for advertising, PR, brochure & AV production, trade seminars and press trips.

1974-1981 Cub Reporter to Showbiz Editor

Apprenticeship with the Evening Argus (Sussex) daily newspaper as a news reporter/feature writer, followed by promotion to Film and Theatre Critic.

1973-74 Journalist in Training

One-year National Council for the Training of Journalists Course at Portsmouth Technical College. Famous alumni include editor Piers Morgan and broadcaster Anna Botting.

1966-73 An Education

St. Mary’s Hall, Brighton. Qualifications: 9 O-Levels, 3 A-Levels (English, History, French).

Languages: Spanish, French
